The responses to these questions are scored to produce a cumulative adherence score, which typically ranges from 0 to 8. A higher score indicates better adherence: a score of 8 signifies high adherence, scores between 6 and less than 8 reflect medium adherence, and scores below 6 indicate low adherence. This scoring system helps healthcare providers identify patients who may need additional support to improve their medication adherence and ultimately enhance treatment outcomes.
