Founder of Adherence Cartography | Behavioral Precision Innovator
Philip Morisky carries forward one of the most recognized names in behavioral medicine, not as a custodian of legacy, but as an architect of evolution.
An entrepreneur by design and a systems thinker by instinct, Philip led two companies through successful acquisition before turning his focus toward one of the most elusive frontiers in healthcare: the behavioral mechanics of adherence. His rare combination of strategic insight, operational rigor, and human-centered design became the foundation for a new paradigm: behavioral cartography.
As the eldest son of Dr. Donald E. Morisky, the developer of the MGL and MMAS tools that revolutionized global adherence measurement, Philip inherited more than a framework, he inherited a responsibility. A responsibility to advance the science that had already informed clinical care, public health policy, and research on nearly every continent.
Yet Philip’s path was never one of mere succession. Immersed in years of behavioral data, global usage patterns, and the lived reality behind adherence scores, he began to see what the numbers concealed: the hidden motion of behavior; the shifts, stresses, and fractures that precede measurable nonadherence.
Where others measured compliance, he mapped behavioral flux.
Where others saw outcomes, he saw architecture.
Where others paused at the binary, he saw continuum.
From that realization emerged a new generation of behavioral science, the Cartographic Behavioral Framework, composed of three interlocking instruments:
Together, these tools form the backbone of Adherence Cartography™, a new scientific discipline that transforms static adherence measurement into a living map of behavioral precision.
Under Philip’s leadership, this framework has evolved into a full ecosystem uniting research, digital health, and real-world evidence through the ATLAS™ platform and Ξxpert™ Certification Program. These initiatives train the next generation of adherence scientists, equip clinicians with predictive insight, and help global health systems detect instability long before it becomes crisis.
Philip’s work represents more than innovation; it’s a behavioral awakening within medicine. It redefines adherence not as a checkbox, but as a continuum of human adaptation.
He is not merely continuing a legacy.
He is redefining its trajectory and charting the unseen patterns that govern stability, designing the tools to measure them, and empowering the world to intervene with precision, compassion, and clarity.
